Serge Ibaka, who is visiting Turkey, reports he and others are “safe” as a military coup is underway in the country.
The Orlando Magic big man is in Antalya, Turkey, to support and attend a charity soccer match organized by Cameroonian professional soccer player Samuel Eto’o. On Friday night, however, military factions started to attempt to seize control of Turkey from President Recep Tayyp Erdogan.
Ibaka, 26, said on Twitter that he is OK.
Thanks everyone for the support messages while I'm in Antalya, Turkey. Everyone is safe here and hope this situation finishes soon.
