ORLANDO – As if they needed a reminder that the start of the regular season is but a week away, the Orlando Magic’s players have been receiving not-so-subtle hints from the coaching staff in the last few days.
``The coaches have been preaching to us, `We have nine days until our first game! Eight days until our first game!’ So they’re trying to set that in for us in our brains,’’ Magic power forward Jason Smith said. ``We know it’s time to get going and to use these last couple of games to fine-tune a couple of things for us.
