The Orlando Magic are trading shooting guard Evan Fournier to the Boston Celtics, league sources confirmed to the Orlando Sentinel.
The Magic will get two second-round picks in return and create a Traded Player Exception worth $17.15 million in the process.
Fournier is in the final year of a five-year contract extension he signed in 2016 and is set to become an unrestricted free agent in the offseason. He is averaging a career-best 19.7 points per game while shooting 37.7% from the 3-point line.
Fournier hit an off-balance driving layup with 6.4 seconds left to help the Magic beat the Phoenix Suns 112-111 Wednesday night at Amway Center.
