The challenges that altered the 2019-20 NBA season remain in place as the league prepares for the upcoming season after what doesn’t seem like much of a break. COVID-19 protocols are as much a part of the current NBA landscape as the free-throw line.
So fittingly, when the Orlando Magic open training camp Tuesday for the 2020-21 season, the “team” part will be absent.
The league is restricting the early portion of training camps to individual workouts as teams go through COVID-19 testing. Each workout will have no more than four players and four staff members at one time.
