Magic sit Aaron Gordon against Rockets for injury management

Just when it felt like their lineup couldn’t get any more depleted, the Orlando Magic have absorbed yet another roster blow, even if it will be just for one game.

Forward Aaron Gordon is being held out of tonight’s game in Houston for injury management related to the left hamstring still lingering from last season. Gordon is expected to play in Saturday’s game at Dallas.

Magic coach Steve Clifford said Gordon didn’t have a setback and the decision to sit him is more about being cautious. Clifford said the hope is that by resting Gordon a little now, he’ll be available for both games of the team’s back-to-back set next week in Boston and Brooklyn.
