The Orlando Magic have signed forward/center Donta Hall for the remainder of the season, the team announced Sunday.
Hall was available for Sunday’s game against the Timberwolves at Amway Center and coach Steve Clifford was expecting to insert Hall into the rotation.
“Defending Towns is obviously one of the big priorities, so there’s things I think that he can be effective with in that place,” Clifford said before Sunday’s tip-off.
Hall previously played eight games with the Magic on two 10-day contracts and Clifford liked what he got from the frontcourt player.
A hardship exception can be granted when a team has at least four players who have missed three or more games with an injury or illness and are expected to remain out for two more weeks.
