The Orlando Magic soon could be getting a rotation boost as Ennis appears closer to making his season debut.
The Magic re-signed Ennis during the offseason and he was projected to be the team’s starting small forward before calf and hamstring injuries derailed his preseason. Ennis sat out all four preseason games and missed Orlando’s first six regular-season games, with Dwayne Bacon starting in his place.
On Monday, Ennis thanked the team training staff for guiding his recovery and keeping him on track while not rushing the process. He said he’s eager to return once his conditioning catches up.
