ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) -- The Orlando Magic have extended general manager Rob Hennigan through the 2017-18 season.
The team announced the two-year extension Thursday. Terms of the new deal were not disclosed.
Hennigan just completed his third season as the Magic's leader of basketball operations, and was entering the final year of his contract before Thursday's new pact.
Magic CEO Alex Martin said in a statement that he believes Hennigan's leadership is putting the team in position ''to contend in a long-term, sustainable fashion.''
Orlando is still in rebuilding mode and is just 68-178 since Hennigan's arrival.
