Delany has been on Magic coach Steve Clifford’s staff the past six seasons – two in Orlando (including the current season) and four in Charlotte.
Prior to joining Clifford with the Hornets, Delany spent 11 seasons in the Miami Heat organization – six of those as an advance scout. He also coached the Sioux Falls Skyforce, the team’s G-League affiliate, for one season.
The Knicks also reportedly plan to interview 76ers assistant Ime Udoka, according to Shams Charania of Stadium and The Athletic. Delany and Udoka would join a candidates list that also includes Tom Thibodeau, Kenny Atkinson, Mike Woodson and Mike Miller.
