The Orlando Magic announced Thursday they have assigned C.J. Wilcox and Stephen Zimmerman to the Erie BayHawks, their NBA D-League affiliate.
Neither player has cracked coach Frank Vogel’s rotation. In 10 appearances, Wilcox is averaging one point per game on 25 percent shooting. Zimmerman has appeared in four games and averaged one point per.
As Yahoo! Sports’ Shams Charania reported Wednesday, Wilcox had sought a D-League assignment in order to rehabilitate from tendinitis in his right Achilles’. Orlando acquired the third-year wing from the Los Angeles Clippers over the summer.
This stint will mark Zimmerman’s second with the BayHawks.
