A mere week after the shocking resignation of Scott Skiles, the Orlando Magic appear to have their next head coach.
According to the Orlando Sentinel's Josh Robbins, the Magic and former Indiana Pacers head coach Frank Vogel have agreed in principle to a deal. Fox 35's Adam Shadoff added that a deal between Vogel and the Magic should be finalized by Friday.
The Magic moved very quickly in hiring Vogel, something the team had not done in their previous two coaching searches under Rob Hennigan. Getting a deal done with Vogel made sense for the Magic, and the short amount of time it took should not surprise many with four other open coaching jobs Vogel could've accepted.
