The Orlando Magic have narrowed their list of potential locations for their Florida-based NBA Development League affiliate to two finalists, and both sites are close to home.
The finalists are Kissimmee’s Silver Spurs Arena and The Lakeland Center, Magic CEO Alex Martins told the Orlando Sentinel.
“We’re very much on track in terms of our timeline, and that is to have a decision made by the time the preseason begins,” Martins said.
The Magic want their Florida-based affiliate to begin play as early as the 2017-18 season.
The Erie BayHawks, based in northwest Pennsylvania, are the Magic’s current D-League affiliate.
