Aside from Evan Fournier, no Orlando Magic player has been more reliable on offense this preseason than forward Jeff Green.
Green provided instant offense for the third consecutive exhibition game Friday night, sparking the Magic in their 114-106 win over the Indiana Pacers.
In a performance that likely foreshadowed his role, Green scored 16 points in 22 minutes. He hit a pair of 3-pointers and injected a level of offensive dynamism that Orlando has lacked for much of this month.
Green, C.J. Watson, C.J. Wilcox, Damjan Rudez and Bismack Biyombo came off the bench and played much more effectively and more cohesively than the starting five of Elfrid Payton, Mario Hezonja, Aaron Gordon, Serge Ibaka and Nikola Vucevic.
