Any injury news that isn’t bad news is good news for the Orlando Magic at this point in the season.
Reserve guard Michael Carter-Williams returned to the lineup against the Kings after missing 19 straight contests because of a sprained left foot.
Magic coach Steve Clifford said before tipoff Carter-Williams would start and be on a “pretty significant” minutes restriction.
“It will be great to have him out there,” Clifford said. “He’s an important piece of our team so it’s great to have him back.”
Ironically, Carter-Williams had made two starts at shooting guard for the injured Evan Fournier before hurting his foot Jan.
