Hawks 116, Magic 107: Magic fall but Fultz and Anthony thrive

We got our very first look at Markelle Fultz and Cole Anthony successfully coexisting.

The play of the two Magic point guards was the biggest takeaway in the Magic’s 116-107 loss to the Atlanta Hawks on Sunday night. Fultz led the Magic with 21 points on 9-for-19 shooting and Anthony was the team’s second highest scorer with 16 points on 6 of 10 shooting.

The two shared a backcourt, and played alongside three other Magic starters in Nikola Vucevic, Aaron Gordon and Dwayne Bacon, while helping the Magic make a run in the third quarter.

Fultz, who made both of his three-point attempts, also added four assists and five rebounds in 31 minutes.
