CLEVELAND – The shorthanded Orlando Magic’s hope for help in the form of returning players from injury faded on Wednesday morning when they learned that forward Aaron Gordon’s bruised ankle still needs more time.
That meant the Magic would have to play a third consecutive game on Wednesday – this time against the Cleveland Cavaliers – without the services of all-star center Nikola Vucevic (right ankle sprain), defensive ace Michael Carter-Williams (left hip irritation) and Gordon (bruised right ankle).
Gordon, who along with Vucevic was injured in the second quarter of last Wednesday’s loss in Toronto, appears to be the closest to returning for the Magic.
