Guess the Magic have to bring back Moe Wagner now.
With the eighth pick in the 2021 NBA Draft the Magic selected Moe’s younger brother Franz Wagner.
The 6-9 forward averaged 12.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists at Michigan last season. He shot 47.7 percent from the field during his sophomore season, including 34.3 percent on 3.6 three-point attempts per game.
With his length and defensive versatility, Wagner fits the mold for Jeff Weltman and John Hammond, who elected to take Wagner over James Bouknight and Moses Moody.
Our Aaron Goldstone broke down some film in his draft profile on Wagner.
