It's not exactly Moses Malone's infamous "fo', fo', fo'," guarantee, but Orlando Magic swingman Evan Fournier offered some strong words Friday as his club prepares to visit Flamengo, the defending FIBA Intercontinental Cup champions, in an exhibition contest, Saturday at HSBC Arena.
"We’re not going to lose this game," said Fournier, according to John Denton of OrlandoMagic.com. "We represent the NBA – the best league in the world."
The Magic topped Flamengo in the 2014 preseason by a 106-88 margin, but that contest was held at Amway Center. Playing on Flamengo's home court could put this young Magic squad at a disadvantage, especially when one considers its 12-29 record away from home in the 2014/15 campaign.
