Elfrid Payton fourth in 2015 NBA Rookie of the Year voting

The Magic point guard didn't stand much of a chance against Andrew Wiggins, given the gaudy scoring numbers the Wolves swingman posted.

The NBA announced Thursday that Andrew Wiggins won its Rookie of the Year Award, coming away with 110 of a possible 130 first-place votes. Orlando Magic point guard Elfrid Payton finished fourth, behind Wiggins, Nikola Mirotiu0107, and Nerlens Noel.

Wiggins' winning the award was a foregone conclusion early in the season due to his high-scoring performances. He finished his rookie campaign averaging 16.9 points per game to go with 4.
