Veteran forward Chris Copeland was waived by the Milwaukee Bucks on Feb. 22 but found a new NBA home before the 2015-16 season expired when he was claimed off waivers by the Orlando Magic on Wednesday.
The Vertical's Shams Charania first reported the news. Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel confirmed the report.
One of Charania's colleagues, Bobby Marks, broke down the financial parameters of the move:
Orlando claimed Copeland using part of the $8.1m trade exception created from the Channing Frye trade.
