My five hottest takes from the sports weekend:
1. Duke should be awarded the victory over Miami after Atlantic Coast Conference refs absolutely botched the call four different ways on UM's wild kickoff return on the final play of the game on Saturday. The incompetence of these officiating clowns could cost Duke a chance to play in the ACC Championship Game. As long-time college football observers like to say about the league's officiating: "ACC spells B-A-D." What happened Saturday was unacceptable and inexcusable.
2. Jim McElwain is pulling a Spurrier at Florida: Like Steve Spurrier did a quarter-century ago, McElwain has taken over and turned the Gators into potential SEC champions in one year.
