He also is extremely aggressive, which helps him come away with 50-50 balls and win “wrestling matches.” Payton’s efficiency around the basket makes him a scoring threat from either side. While he doesn’t always accelerate to the hoop and doesn’t possess elite explosiveness, Payton is a “creative shot-maker.” He recognizes his sweet spots in the paint and is comfortable with his floater.
