The Orlando Magic have agreed to terms with free agent Channing Frye, making him their first major addition in the summer of 2014. The deal was first reported by (surprise surprise) Yahoo's Adrian Wojnarowski.

The 4-year, $32 million deal is a surprising commitment from Orlando - clearly, they see Frye as an important piece going forward. Orlando had not been seen as a major contender for Frye's services, with Portland, Phoenix and the LA Lakers keen on the 31-year-old big man.
Frye was drafted 8th overall by the New York Knicks back in 2005. Over the last four years in Phoenix, Frye has emerged as one of the league's best-shooting big men, with a .385 shooting percentage from beyond the three-point arc. Frye had another year remaining on his deal with the Suns, but last month chose to opt out and explore the market.
