When 12 of her teammates headed abroad on loan for the season, Viggiano chose to stay in Orlando. She wanted to grow with the Pride, using any available matches as an opportunity to learn from coach Marc Skinner.
Viggiano’s progress will be important for the Pride, who need the young defensive midfielder to get comfortable with a starting role before the lineup is depleted during the 2021 Olympics.
“I’m not trying to take these for granted,” Viggiano said. "I’m really taking the opportunity that I have to step on the field with my teammates and just trying to get better and learn every day.
