In golf, the numbers don’t lie. And for the 2020 boys golf season in Central Florida, the statistics says Michael Mays was the best.
He was No. 1 in the area and No. 2 for all classifications in the iWanamaker.com state rankings, averaging 70.4 for 18 holes for the season. At the state tournament, Mays finished fifth with rounds of 74 and 71 to culminate a campaign in which he shot 64 twice in the regular season and posted a 70 for second in district tourney play.
