Winter Park protected its home turf on Homecoming night in a 28-0 high school football victory against Evans High.
“Obviously we played a great defensive game, pitched a shutout,” said Winter Park head coach Tim Shifflett. “I’m proud of our kids. It’s a big homecoming always here around Winter Park. The kids came out, really played hard and really did a great job.”
Winter Park senior running back Keyondre Jones scored the games’ first touchdown on a seven-yard rumble into the end zone.
“It felt great getting my team fired up and ready to go,” Jones said.
