WINTER PARK — The Winter Park High School boys volleyball team ended the day Tuesday the same way it started it — undefeated and having not lost a set all season.
But the Wildcats’ guests from Metro Conference rival Freedom High sure made them work to keep that unblemished record in a 3-0 win punctuated by a thrilling second set. The scores were 25-20, 32-30, 25-16.
It was during that second set that the Patriots — whose only two losses this season have come to Winter Park (17-0) — led by as many as seven points and had set-point chances on three different occasions.
