Before Wil Trapp fully moved onto the next chapter of his Major League Soccer career, he took a moment to reflect on Inter Miami CF’s inaugural MLS season.
Trapp signed with Minnesota United FC, who fell to the Seattle Sounders FC in the 2020 MLS Cup Playoffs Western Conference Finals, last week as a free agent.
The defensive midfielder spent 2020 with Inter Miami in what ultimately was a disappointing year on the field for the South Florida MLS club.
After entering the year with expectations of competing for championships out of the gate, Inter Miami finished the regular season with a 7-13-3 record (10th place in the 14-team Eastern Conference) and qualified for the playoffs on the season’s final day in an expanded postseason format.
