Where will Dolphins’ pass rush come from in 2021? | Countdown to camp

If the Miami Dolphins defense is going to replicate its production from the 2020 season, especially in the turnover department with its league-leading 29 takeaways, it will have to produce a pass rush.

And that pass rush will have to come from a defensive front that lost two key edge defenders in Kyle Van Noy and Shaq Lawson in the offseason. Van Noy’s six sacks and Lawson’s four both ranked in the top five on the Dolphins last year and together accounted for nearly a quarter of the team’s 41 sacks.

The good news is the Dolphins return defensive end Emmanuel Ogbah and his team-leading nine sacks, and inside linebacker Jerome Baker has proven he can get to the quarterback on the blitz, contributing seven sacks in 2020.
