West Orange’s stifling defense held Wekiva to three points in route to a 49-3 high school football road victory on Friday night.
The Warriors (2-1), ranked No. 5 in the Sentinel Super 16, allowed only 88 yards of total offense for the Mustangs (0-3).
“We’ve always had a great defense,” West Orange head coach Michael Granato said. “We really challenged our guys on offense, especially the quarterback position and our receivers to help us, and they made some plays tonight.”
Highly-touted senior wide receiver Jayden Gibson led the Warriors aerial game with five catches for 80 yards and two touchdowns.
