An unexpected hiatus from professional baseball this summer brought Kole Enright back to the Orlando area, where the West Orange graduate has spent much of the past three months working out with major league players and pursuing entrepreneurial ambitions.
A third-round draft pick out of high school by the Texas Rangers in 2016, Enright felt he was hitting his stride in spring training before Major League Baseball paused its operations in mid-March due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
The MLB’s abbreviated 60-game regular season is scheduled to begin July 23, but the minor league season was officially scrapped on Tuesday.
