Running off at the typewriter …
Orlando City CEO Alex Leitão certainly has a point when he says disgruntled former star Cyle Larin acted unprofessionally in forcing his way off the team, but you can’t deny that Larin’s strategy worked and he got what he wanted — a bigger contract in a better league.
Obviously, Larin wasn’t happy making $150,000 in Orlando while lesser players were making five, six or seven times more because of the wacky salary structure in MLS.
The entire Larin fiasco was an embarrassment to Orlando City’s franchise and to the league as a whole.
