Following the arrival of head coach Gus Malzahn to UCF, redshirt junior defensive back Divaad Wilson made the transition from the nickelback position to the safety spot.
Since the spring, Wilson has continued to work on the transition. It’s a move Wilson admitted he’s had “numerous difficulties” with, but knows he’s able to play multiple positions in the secondary for UCF this upcoming season.
“I’ve always been a guy that’s been versatile,” Wilson said. “It’s just like when you live in one way place all of your life and then you go to a different [place,] you have to transition.
