COLUMBUS, Ohio — Starting a new job is never easy, but it looked that way for Vlatko Andonovski as the new coach of the United States women’s national team — at least for a while. The U.S. dominated Sweden in the first of Andonovski’s debut match, but came under fire after the break, conceding twice and eroding a three-goal lead for a narrow 3-2 win.
For Andonovski, it’s one game under his belt that will go down as a win, and he’s taking the positives from it.
“I definitely did not want to see a 3-2 game after 3-0,” Andonovski said, “It was overall a good experience.
