In the 3-2 victory over Sky Blue FC on Saturday, Rachel Hill and Sydney Leroux proved to be the deciding factors for the Orlando Pride.
With three goals between the two in the match, the forwards are showing that they have more in common than one might think.
Leroux recorded a brace in the first half, first with the fastest goal in Pride history 92 seconds into the match and then again off a diving header that left the forward mid-air for several moments in the 16th minute.
At a stalemate following two conceded goals, Head Coach Tom Sermanni made the decision to insert Hill, describing the value of having her on the pitch simply as added “energy.
