Former Lake Brantley two-sport standout Jared Bernhardt made a seamless transition from the lacrosse field to the football field last week.
Bernhardt, who earlier this year was named the NCAA Division I lacrosse player of the year in his final season at Maryland, accounted for seven touchdowns in his Division II football debut for Ferris State of Big Rapids, Mich.
Bernhardt completed 12 of 14 passes for 218 yards with three touchdowns and one interception while running the ball 12 times for 120 yards and four scores in a 54-14 win against the University of Findlay.
