The United States women’s national team will prepare for Concacaf Olympic qualifying with a 28-player camp from Jan. 5-15 in Tampa, Florida.
Head coach Vlatko Andonovski named the training camp roster Friday, and at the end of the 10 days, he will narrow the squad down to 20 for the qualification tournament that begins Jan. 28.
The majority of the players are familiar faces, including Crystal Dunn and Julie Ertz, who are four and five games, respectively, away from the century mark in appearances for the national team.
Six women who did not participate in the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup are on the squad: goalkeeper Jane Campbell, defenders Margaret Purce and Casey Short, midfielder Andi Sullivan and forwards Sophia Smith and Lynn Williams.
