USMNT routs Trinidad and Tobago, 2 Lions make debuts

From the opening whistle of the U.S. men’s national team’s match against Trinidad and Tobago, Orlando City fans were adamant.

As the Americans completed a thorough 7-0 rout of Trinidad and Tobago, Lions fans continued to plea for all four Orlando City players called up to the match — Chris Mueller, Andrés Perea, Daryl Dike, Benji Michel — to earn substitutions into the game.

Perea came first, subbing into the match at the start of the first half. As he neared the sideline to check in with the referee, coach Gregg Berhalter pulled him aside, giving him a hug and a few words of encouragement as cheers rose in volume from the Orlando fans.
