The United States men’s national team notched a 2-1 victory Sunday in a physical match against Northern Ireland in Belfast, earning its second win of the March international window.
Gio Reyna opened scoring in the 30th minute, launching a shot from outside the top of the box. Star striker Christian Pulisic followed by earning a penalty in the box in the 59th minute, finishing the eventual game-winner.
Despite being hounded by Northern Ireland players for the entire match, Pulisic was a dynamic, hungry force. He sliced through the box and fought through double teams, coming inches away from a handful more assists and goals.
