For the second time in five days the USWNT took on Switzerland and the result was pretty much the same. Last Wednesday, the U.S. blanked the Swiss, 4-0. It wouldn't be a shutout this time, but the U.S. did end up beating Switzerland again -- 5-1 this time.
Just like last Wednesday, the game started pretty slowly for the U.S., and the Yanks gave up the first goal of the game to Switzerland. Unlike Wednesday, the U.S. got a goal in the first half from 2015 FIFA World Player of the Year, Carli Lloyd. In the second half, the floodgates opened with another score from Lloyd, and goals from Christen Press, Crystal Dunn, and newcomer Kealia Ohai.
