Welcome to your match thread as the United States Men’s National Team takes on Costa Rica. This is the second game of this calendar year and will be Gregg Berhalter’s second game as the USMNT head coach.
In his first game in charge, Berhalter became the first coach since Bob Bradley in 2007 to win his first game. The Yanks crushed Panama 3-0, with goals from Djordje Mihailovic, Walker Zimmerman, and Christian Ramirez. Berhalter also gave seven players their first ever international cap — Ramirez, Nick Lima, Jonathan Lewis, Corey Baird, Jeremy Ebobisse, Daniel Lovitz, and Mihailovic.
