UM’s Houston grad transfer duo of King, Williams can help Hurricanes keep sacks down

There are a number of factors that the Miami Hurricanes can point to in presuming they will allow far fewer sacks than the 51 that were third-most of 130 Football Bowl Subdivision teams in 2019.

More experience from having no starters graduate from a young offensive line, the leadership of new line coach Garin Justice and the impact of new offensive coordinator Rhett Lashlee’s up-tempo spread attack can all contribute.

The addition of the two grad transfers from Houston — offensive tackle Jarrid Williams and quarterback D’Eriq King — also helps with the experience of Williams and King’s mobility eluding pass rushers.
