CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Miami safety Bubba Bolden believes the Hurricanes defense has a huge chip on its shoulder entering this upcoming season.
It’s easy to see why after the team allowed more than 408 yards per game in 2020 while giving up 500-plus yards three times including a season-worst 778 yards in a humiliating 62-26 loss to North Carolina in the regular-season finale.
“This year it’s a big thing. We all came back for a reason,” said Bolden, who led the team with 74 tackles. “We want to win.”
“Great defense is ultimately about the connection between the players on the field, the trust and the accountability,” said Diaz.
