UF QB Kyle Trask ends Gators career without regret despite crushing Cotton Bowl loss

No one would have blamed him after a three-interception, zero-touchdown night during a deflating 35-point loss to Oklahoma.

Trask’s attitude helped him navigate an improbable path to success at Florida. The 22-year-old’s willingness to embrace and overcome the struggle could serve him well now as he begins his NFL journey.

Trask, a redshirt senior pursuing a Master’s degree in sports management, could have returned for another season due to an NCAA waiver put in so fall athletes did not feel pressure to play during a pandemic.

Trask decided it was time to move on following a record-setting 2020 season and a remarkable two-year rise from career backup to Heisman finalist.
