In the waning moments following Auburn’s loss to Northwestern in the Citrus Bowl on New Year’s Day, Markaviest “Big Kat” Bryant knew something had to change.
An All-SEC selection, Bryant suffered through the effects of a high ankle sprain that limited the defensive lineman to just 17 tackles, three sacks and an interception in nine games last season. It was a frustrating finish and one that’s fueled the Georgia native.
“I’m so hungry,” Bryant said. “I’m so eager. I mean, I don’t need any motivation. The proof is in the pudding, bro. I’m ready to show the world what I’m about.
