UCF wrapped up its second scrimmage of the preseason camp Wednesday and while positional battles remain to be sorted out, the Knights continue to push forward with two weeks remaining before the start of the season.
First-year coach Gus Malzahn said it was much more of a situational scrimmage than the previous outing with the team put through its paces.
“We threw it a little bit more today than we did last [time], just trying to let our guys play,” Malzahn said of the scrimmage which was closed to reporters. “We got all the situations which is always good for your coaching staff, it’s always good for your players to kind of identify how you’re thinking in certain situations with that.
