UCF QB Dillon Gabriel preps for experienced Boise State defense: ‘I’m excited to see what they do’

UCF quarterback Dillon Gabriel said Monday he is ready physically and mentally to face an experienced Boise State defense as Thursday’s season-opener versus the Broncos quickly approaches.

“I feel really good about everyone and I know we put in a lot of hard work especially with this heat,” Gabriel told local reporters. “For the most part personally, my body feels good, my mind is good and once I got all those in check, I’m good to go.”

Gabriel and the Knights wrapped up fall camp last week and began shifting their focus towards the Broncos. Of course, one challenge both teams face in preparing for one another is the fact that both sides will feature new head coaches and staffs with Gus Malzahn leading UCF and Andy Avalos in charge of Boise State.
