Gus Malzahn is adding a familiar face to his new UCF coaching staff, hiring Travis Williams as the Knights’ defensive coordinator.
“My family and I are excited to now be a part of the UCF family,” Williams said. “I’m blessed to have the opportunity to serve the young men in our program. I can’t wait to work alongside Coach Malzahn again. He is a great man and a great coach.”
Williams, 38, coached with Malzahn at Auburn, first as a graduate assistant then as a linebackers coach before moving into the role of co-defensive coordinator of the Tigers from 2019-20.
