New UCF athletics director Terry Mohajir made his way through the Dallas area, on his way back from watching the men’s basketball team prepare for its ACC quarterfinal against Memphis later that evening.
While he navigated the path back to his hotel, Mohajir spoke with the Orlando Sentinel about his brief time on the job, the excitement surrounding Gus Malzahn’s hire and rumors of another job offer.
He spent his first week searching for a new football coach, settling on a familiar face in former Auburn coach Malzahn. Then he spent the next 10 days helping to hire Malzahn’s staff.
