Miami Hurricanes defensive ends Greg Rousseau and Quincy Roche were named to the watch list for the Chuck Bednarik Award, presented at the end of the season for college football’s most outstanding defensive player.
Rousseau, a redshirt sophomore is coming off a 2019 season in which he won the ACC Defensive Rookie of the Year and was All-ACC first team. Rousseau was second nationally in sacks (15 1/2) and had 19 1/2 tackles for loss — both led the ACC.
Roche transferred to Miami as a redshirt senior after a standout career at Temple. He had 137 tackles, 39 1/2 for loss, and 26 sacks as an Owl.
